Shadyside Loop Festival
June 15, 2024 to June 16, 2024
Downtown Shadyside
This annual event celebrates the history and heritage of the "loop" (famous county-wide for cruising) and promotes community with vendors, amusements, games, entertainment, etc. The festival will take place from 6-11 p.m. The festival will begin with the Cruise the Loop Parade starting at 6 p.m. Friday. The car show will also take place 6-8 p.m. Friday. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the best cars, including a “Mayor’s Choice” trophy for the first place car, “People’s Choice” trophies for seven runners-up and prizes for the “Best of Show” and “Best Original” cars. Saturday night, the sixth annual Miles for Mike 5k race will start at 6:30 p.m. The race, honoring Iraq War veteran Mike Karkowski, will donate its proceeds to Dogs 4 Warriors and Team RWB. Mike suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, a disorder that plagues many veterans. The race aims at raising awareness of PTSD through Mike’s story.
Through the duration of the event, the Shadyside loop will be filled with local businesses set up in booths; kids games, including inflatables and mechanical rides; free live music featuring performances by Easy Street and MSM; DJ’s and multiple food and craft vendors. The LOOP Festival is a non profit organization aimed at promoting local businesses, school clubs and organizations and churches. All proceeds go to benefit the village of Shadyside’s parks, recreation and Loop.
